another newbie needs advice

Hi all, im looking for a mig welder which will be able to weld aluminium tubing (bike frames and such) as well as the odd job on a car chassis. yes i relise welding aluminium with a mig is meant to be a pain in but but i cant afford a tig.....so i have a budget of about £300 and am open to as much advice as i can can get .....many thanks for reading an look forward to reply

With that type of money and bearing in mind what you want to do a used pro standard MIG set from Ebay is the only possible option. However while its quite possible to weld aluminium with MIG, I would certainly not be wanting to weld thin tube using this process.
