another lecktrickery question

mainly just for my own edification...

240v uk ring main.

basically 2.5mm t+e from the fusebox through some sockets, then other end of of cable is looped round to connect back to same terminals on fusebox.

I want to add an extra room (6 double sockets - its an office/sewing room) to the ring, and the easiest way is to run a radial circuit from one of the sockets on the original ring.
should I run the extra room as a ring, and connect the other end of the extra room circuit to the same socket?
or must I split the original ring?

I've extended ring mains in most of my houses, usually for an office or dark room. It is simple really and worth doing rather than some radial/spur bodge

Upon further investigation, turns out the "ring" I was going to tap into is actually a radial with three "arms"
(or a radial + 2 spurs)
One "arm" has two double sockets, the other "arms" each have one double socket.
Plan was to double the amount of sockets on each "arm", then tie in the extra room (to an arm which currently only has one double socket)

As it stands now, it's going to be much simpler (less mess + cable) to run a cable connecting the ends of each "arm" and then back to the junction box.

The spurs aren't joined in at the sockets, BTW - they are joined in junction boxes in a cavity under the floor. Access to them means ripping up a newly installed floor.

If I can't turn this into a ring main (a "ladder" or "net" might be a better description) - should I disconnect the lot and run a new circuit (I'll run it through 20mm round conduit attached to the wall)?
The entire round trip to and from the fusebox is probably <30m if that makes any difference?

I bought a pack of 3-way
Be warned, if youre not familiar - each connector is Wired in common.
A "three-way" connector is not for live, earth, and neutral. It's to connect three "live"s together.
To connect t+e, you need three connectors. They will barely fit in a standard circular junction box.

No need to apologise - you didn't explain unclearly, I just thought it needed amplifying, cos screwfix don't make it obvious (to me, at least!)

To add to my previous post, if it is in a box or other containment there is nothing to stop you using insulated crimps or push connectors http://global.wago.com/en/solutions...push-wire-connectors-junction-boxes/index.jsp which will save a bit of room.
