My machine is a Clarke 130en.
The gas SGS 5% CO2
Wire is 0.8mm
The voltage setting is 2 Max which give an unloaded voltage of around 32V
Wire setting 6 ( not measured imp)
When using this high there is no crackling but a whooshing humming sound and noticeably hotter. The metal is glowing near white just after. Increasing the wire speed to about 8-9 and the crackling is back.
Is this spray transfer?
From reading the other threads I get the impression that this is only achieved on the more powerful machines like 200Amp+ not the hobby machines.
