another Confused newbie

hello every one. what a great site, if you like welding that is. To be honest im a bit lost iive read that clarke welders are the one's that everyone seams to like for the money/quality. but i dont know which one to get, im looking at second hand ones on ebay. as ive only got a few little jobs on the car. and it will mainly look good in the shed. im guessing car panels are some where near .8mm to 1mm ish so should i just get a 90amp mig welder or go for something bigger as it gives me most scope. maybe weld some shackels for the misses.
any way any help would be great

90 amp is fine for bodywork, (and even light chassis up to about 2mm max for butt welding or a little less for overlap).

Anything off eBay is likely to need a new wire liner, so it's worth budgeting another £25 for a torch service kit to get it into good condition.

Oo-er . Would they be mounted to the kitchen sink?
