I finally got around to getting the parts for my tiny carpet job.
I got 11mm underlay, as, well, I figured that would be more, umm, luxurious.
...but now I realize that the gripper is only 6.35mm thick (the wood, rather than wood + teeth)
Have I done wrong?
Do I need to shim it up?
Seems like the carpet won't really get that close to it if it's coming off the side of something that's 11mm and then having to drop down 5mm?
Or is that just the way it's done?
Thank you.
