angle marking for hub

need to make two hubs to weld onto axle for trike.
it uses bike spokes and rims.
each rim as 36 spokes split between two hub discs, means 18 holes per disc.
so if my brain is working each hole needs to be 20deg apart.

have i worked it out right?

360 divided by 18 = 20, so yes spot on.

do you have one already to set up as a guide?
Not your original question but to expand on the thinking, I'd set up a original flange connected to the blank somehow and clamp it all down and use the spindle to rotate it, then drop a pin on a arm into one of the existing holes as a guide so you can pin, drill, lift pin, move the next slot and repeat without running a drill through the existing hub and risking damaging it. It'll be much more accurate than marking it all out and working to dot punches on a marked out pcd.
I've just described a indexing setup, normally they are discs that go on a rotary table or table centres on a mill but I've made indexing setups from odd bits and metal fingers etc to index cutters for grinding on my surface grinder amongst other things so you can get the accuracy without spending hundreds on the real thing.

Don’t forget the holes should be offset by 10 degrees between the two hub flanges (assuming you are lacing it up like a bike wheel?).

Paper pattern

You could print out a pattern on the computer paste it onto your flange and centre dot through the pattern .
