A lot of people think that about stressI used to use my grinders one handed, until I developed tennis elbow. I always thought tennis elbow was a bit of non condition, an excuse to get out of doing things. Then I developed it. Bloody painful. Injections and strapping sorted it out, but now I always try to use both hands.
I got my Makita's cheap 4-1/2"disc, But I always buy 5" discs, Slit the original guards all round the edge and re-welded, Take the 5" discs easily now, Good result,
None in my branchIf you are near a Lidl, they have angle grinders for £19.99 from Sunday, three year guarantee.
I like to think that folks on here are capable of working safely, I have more years in engineering than you have probably been alive, Certainly not over loading the machine!! lots of grinder manufacturers do have an optional 5" guard for the same machine Milwaukee etc. My golden rule with electrical gear is. if the machine is slowing down while working ease of the pressure straight away,Not the safest of tricks to put on a forum. Both overloading the machine and over-speeding the discs by11% may work for you but possibly a serious safety hazard for others.
Trouble arises when others (than forum members) read these fora, and clearly, there are people coming on here that are asking questions that rather demonstrate that they are not necessarily as competent as you. You must be about 90 years old?I like to think that folks on here are capable of working safely, I have more years in engineering than you have probably been alive, Certainly not over loading the machine!! lots of grinder manufacturers do have an optional 5" guard for the same machine Milwaukee etc. My golden rule with electrical gear is. if the machine is slowing down while working ease of the pressure straight away,
