For the ancient arc welder enthusiasts amongst you, there's an interesting one on the bay at the moment

Looks like single phase? But at 300A output?

That will be a welding set that would last a lifetime, which would probably not be long thanks to the heart attack trying to move it.
Perhaps we should have a 'guess the winning bid' I will go at £120.11p

Quasi arc were great welders, I used to use one just like it, on the 100 volt setting it will give you a nice little tingle when you put the rod in, just the thing to liven you up in the morning!.
As i recall it will be single phase but at 380 / 415 volts, we used to run them from 2 phases of a 3 phase socket, still dims the lights when you switch them on

I bet its really smooth, and being single phase I bet it goes for more. I'd say £151.74! I'd like to see the van taking it away too, down boy!

single phase @ 440 volt will narrow the punters down and the price

Thats the same as mine , lovely tool ! 415 volts , they pack a punch allright , the light bulb is missing in the middle same as mine !
