ive just had an idea and wanted to run it past you peeps to see if its feasible.
if any of you have had anything to do with vinyl wrap you will know that heating the vinyl aids stretching and shrinking around curved objects.
then it struck me what if you put a sheet of vinyl into a vaccuum forming machine and heated it up as you would a peice of acrylic and place the item to be wrapped under neath.
then when sufficiently heated it could be lowered onto the object and vacuumed around the item removing all air bubbles and pulling it tight around all the curved edges.
obviously as you would in the normal vacuum forming process you might have to put holes in pockets where air would be trapped but the principle would work wouldn't it?
