Amico 225HF machine welds on stick but not on tig

I am just setting up my new Amico 225HF welder. It will weld on stick but will not strike an arc on tig Any suggestions. Thanks John

Check polarity by comparing with another machine - sometimes labels are incorrectly applied....?
Is pure argon gas supply ok?
If there's not even a glimmer of a spark machine is probably bad

Welcome to the forum!
DC only I assume?
Make sure your tungsten is nice and pointy.
As it is an HF machine you should definitely get a spark. Make sure all connected up properly. Make sure the tungsten is installed in the torch correctly.

Try Scratch Start - perhaps just the HF is down?

If its a DC machine and its will produce power for stick, it will produce power for tig, you just need to suss out how to innate it , what methods of start do you have, HF, lift arc or scratch? I would set to tig mode and run through all the start types see what happens.
If using HF try scratching the tungsten before you hit the button, it can help sometimes.
