Am I missing something?

I just collected a 3ph vertical sander. Thought I'd try it out, but as ever I don't have the right plug! But when I looked at the side of the machine, it is a 16A 4 pin 3ph female!! That means you are pushing a plug into it with exposed live pins??? Am I missing something??

I'm going to replace it with a 4 pin male, but of course I only have 32A!

So, unless someone fancies swapping some 32A for 16A 4 pins plugs/sockets I'll have to go and buy one to see if it works!

yea some dork has got it backside 1st should have a plug on it not a socket

If I get a chance tomorrow il poke around for a box I know is somewhere in the garage.
Have a few items to parcel up this weekend. One more won't hurt if I have a 4pin male in the box. If I don't respond tomorrow afternoon, give me a prod.
