It’s a lovely power team press, 55ton. Shame because it’s just what I’m looking for.See post #2![]()
Luton so only an hour.Either that or just play his game and go and view with pound notes in your pocket. Be prepared to either walk away empty handed or take it with you I suppose
if it’s not far it’s worth a look. Makes you wonder how these people stay in business behaving like that.
Often what I do. They’re gonna have some fees on £2k!They could always attach another photo of the item in a message with their phone number displayed.
It’s what I do. Just scratch it on the bench in chalk. They could always attach another photo of the item in a message with their phone number displayed.
but the seller is being difficult now, let alone if I agree to buy it!
Watch the steel you have out of there. It’s rejects and secondsBrad, look on Bidspotter.
Quite a few auction lots in your area and large presses come up all the time, three phase models fetch very little as not for domestic electric and this limits their market.
Been to a place called Stonton Massey near Chipping Ongar twice in the last month and its a working farm running an auction house, collected 100 lengths of SHS 50 X 50 X 3, 7.6M long and 33 sheets of 2.5 X 1.25 V 10mm plate and then my column lifts for the trucks, on both occasions they has several hydraulic presses in, around 50 - 200 tonne range.
I use the auction at Stondon Massey a lot, (most months) and they do get some nice kit in, but you have to really visit and know what your looking at as often its ex-site use and damaged.Brad, look on Bidspotter.

Two lots of steel we’ve had from there have been bad. Won’t buy any steel from there again. Its not, got the certification with it which suggests either a small stockholder or large fabricator who has gone bust, it didn't even have surface rust on it.
Like most auctions for plant and equipment, they collect and send it straight to the auction rooms, as is, they put the disclaimer on. Some do test it and Brad would be wise to this and check and look before bidding on anything. Still worth mentioning for others though.
