Always pondered this am i spose to ne wearing a dust mask of sorts when im in the garage working on the car? Ie grinding and welding???
Prob a very silly question to ask.

Yep. Recommend the Silverline fold flat FFP3 masks. They fit my face really well and I can wear googles etc without them fogging up. I can't remember where I bought them from but think they were about £18 for 25.

I've tried the 'paper' masks but always ended up with fogged safety glasses, so ordered this off the Bay of Everything.

Cheap but at least it'll accept the 3M filters Intend 'being good' and using it when grinding, painting, sawing wood [remember that stuff? ] and cutting metal.

I'm not expecting top of the range performance, but health issues mean I shouldn't really be breathing in crap of any kind.

@mrfuzzy Cheers, appreciate the heads-up. I can check after a couple of uses, and get the genuine 3M ones if the 'Bay ones are useless.

I use the disposable ones for grinding and welding, find the Silverline ones excellent, fit nicely and have a valve.

I have Sundstrom masks as I get the filters for free and have a air fed attachment, all great and use them for spraying. But prefer the disposable ones for general use.

I can see the differences between it and the 6000 series my dad gave me (he's a painter so has various masks)

Can't see me ever spraying 2K, in fact I've yet to try spraying anything with my Lidl compressor - I know it'll have limitations but hey, it'll only be for small parts and......the price was right. That's another job on the 'list' to do..........
