Im restoring my car rims .. I have some curb rush that needs to be filled cuzz it looks bad now ... I was thinking about using brazing sticks ? with a torch or maybe there are some cheaper easier ways any tips ?
If the damage is only cosmetic then ally brazing type rod would probably be O.K. I'v used them before to repair a snapped off handle from a huge old Wolf industrial drill and a broken flange from a Toyota starter motor, both bits of kit still in use and O.K.
Personally i wouldn't go near 'em with that zinc rich pot metal brazing stuff. Be okay if they're painted, stand out like a sore thumb with polished/machined finishes though and cause all sorts of problems if they were ever to need welding (future kerbing perhaps).
Personally i'd go to one of the wheel refinishing specialists even with wheels for myself- usually cheaper than for me to do it myself as i don't have a suitable lathe for finishing etc
