ok, i have to attach toghether 2 small piece of alu, they are 8 and 6mm thick, T joint (or 90°)...i used 120hz\50% balance (aprox. figures: it's a knobs machine with no display that shows settings); 130 amp with pedal 2,4 blue tungsten, 2,0 rod; 6 liter gas
i also used some preheat (nothing special: a little of heat air gun just to not start from completely cold)
of course i read the aluminium guide thread, studied the subject (and spent many hours watching the videos of that nice guy from Vancouver, and also of Jody and others youtube welding celebrities)
well it was a real struggle.. when i got the puddle all became to fast..i have two distinct puddles on the 2 walls at 90°, of course, but filling the gap with the rod it's so difficult!
i understand that starting with a T joint is not the correct approach, but the piece is needed for my current build..
i do not have photos because i'm filing\grounding the welds to try again..
any suggestion from experts it's welcome
