OK so I purchased a 40A plasma from a well known supplier. Nice bit of kit.
Just wondering what peoples experiences are regarding the best set up (air pressure + current) for cutting 1.5-2mm aluminium in terms of getting the cleanest cut? I've experimented a bit, but I dont have that much scrap (all my stuff is laser cut, so using that to practice is costing me money).
Also, reducing warping? Presume its just a case of least current possible to keep the heat down?
What I'd really like to be able to do is profile more than 1 plate at a time, ie 2x1.5mm plates on top of each other (or even 3x, but cant see that happening cleanly). However the one time I tried this it semi-welded them together, meaning when I tried to seperate them I struggled without bending them.
