I ran it on my 4m torch with no problem. Really helps if you have both rollers gear driven. Small MIGs like the Clarke only have an idler so only one side of the wire is driven. I can keep the roller loose so it does not flatten the wire.
The Clarke also had the problem of a knurled roller. I did make a smooth one for it.
Yeah, pulse can drop the current down between "dips" so the wire does not burn back like a fuse because 4043 melts at such a low temp
