Aluminium Angle 40x40x3

Since Devizes Steel closed (a local but well stocked metals stockholder) I have been struggling to find a source of materials for a hobby user such as my self.

My wife would like some shelving in the "cactus house" and the current supports are 40x40x3 aluminium angle.

Who on line (who wouldn't require a business/trade account) would you suggest I go to? - some of the ones I Googled seem quite expensive, but it could just be I am out of touch!

Yeovil is about the closest stockists for me now.

I normally use alco (phone ordering and you do need an account)
The delivery to a commercial address is expensive, a residential address is really expensive.
I can add some to the next order if you're not in a rush?
I think the last lot I had was about £12/m.
I need to speak to them about some poor quality stainless they sent so might be getting some discount on the next order!

If the dimensions aren't critical I've got a pile of alloy at my place, it's all aerospace stuff so I doubt any of it is weldable grades.
Not sure what's there but you're welcome to have a look through it

Just got some 40 x 40 x 5mm from Ebay, its not cheap £26 for two metres

It's only for cactus shelves so not critical at all. I'll message you and find out when it will be convenient to come over. I'll also measure up what I need. I can barely weld steel I do have an AC TiG, only used it once, so even if it was "weldable" I'd dread what I would do to it! It's an excuse to play with my pneumatic riveter from here!
