Aluminium alloy T 7005 T6 strength?

Anyone ever heard of a bicycle frame made from Aluminium alloy T 7005 T6 snapping under normal use?
The diagonal tube on my wife's bike below broke in half about 2 inches below the vertical headstock. The bike is just over a year old.

The 7000 Series of aluminium alloys are extremely high strength & used in Aerospace, so I am very surprised it has broke. They are especially difficult to weld so I wouldn't attempt it yourself (unless you are very accomplished) & put your Wife on a diet!!

Seriously, I would send it back & demand a replacement frame. It's not a cheap bike & it's not as if it has been used for down-hilling! Just over 12 month's old, disgusting! Send it back.

They have agreed to a full refund, my wife does not want a replacement, well not that make anyway, turns out that another owner has had a frame snap around the seat post area!

just out of interest can anyone point me in the direction of a website that has the properties listed of all grades of alloy?
