Hi All,
I have recently been tempted to buy an EWM Picomig 180 Puls.
Upon discussing a truck body job with my local welding supplier, he suggested that instead of using my TIG welder (Triton 220 AC/DC) I could be saving vast amounts of time and gas by MIGing it and promptly handed me a leaflet for the above mentioned.
I just really can't decide whether I can justify the outlay!
£1728 including the VAT is a fair dose of cash, though it does have a heap of features my current set doesn't have (Lincoln Electric SP-170).
Stop start timer, four touch latch, pulsed, MIG brazing and Ally capabilities as it can do low currents blah blah blah and a four wheel drive unit - Sounds excellent.
I guess my real question is, is there anything out there just as good for less money?
And if anyone has used one in anger, is it all it's cracked up to be / worth the outlay?
Cheers all,
Tom.
