Alloy wheel spraying help ? Recommendations

Hi have a set of vw hockenheims 13" 5.5 alloys wheels that I got at a good price for my vw breadvan. They come with damage on the rim lip and have been quoted £170 for full refurb

So I have brought some e-tech alloy wheel filler putty stuff that will sort out damage no problem. The main thing I need to know is what kind of paint I need ? I want to use spray cans and was thinking of e-tech spray paint . I am not sure what I need buy as in alloy wheel paint as I never painted alloys before only steel wheels.

1.What primer for alloy ?
2.What top coat ?
3.Lacquer ?

Etch or epoxy on bare aluminium will be fine, only problem with using aerosols is its 1k paint and 2k clear would be much more durable on wheels, you can get it in a can that you activate but still need to take safety precautions.
I would use epoxy, followed by a couple of coats of 2k high build primer, base coat of chosen colour then 2k clear.

Well as for 2k I do not have air mask etc so can not use that as only have 3m full face mask with A2 P2 filters and I have extract fan. Epoxy 121 I have but it is red lol no good for silver wheels lol. So really I can only us as you say 1k spray paint. But now I know I need to use etch paint as you have said as was unsure just primer would do the job over alloy .

Polish them up and then laquer coat them.

they're no too intricate for polish mops so should not pose any problems,polished alloy wheels look the buisness when a mirror finish ha been achieved.

if there chipped and scratched your not going to get away with just polish and laquer if they need filling . u could spray them with 2k acid etch prime then topcoat with 2k just do it outside with a decent resperator mask on a warm day

Well the wheel rim has small scuffs so as much as techno weld looks ok I think it is not needed . As I say have brought this e-tech filler kit so shall go with that. I really needed to know what primmer is best for alloy wheels before I top coat and lacquer . I do not have air feed mask etc and will only be using spray paint . The mask I use is full face 3m A2-P2 filters.

Use the epoxy you have then a couple of coats of grey primer should cover it ok before overcoating, epoxy is ok on bare aluminium, well the hb body one I bought stated it was
