I'm currently blasting some Mini (BMW) alloys.
The paint comes off easily but there is a very thin layer of primer, very difficult to see and a sod to shift. Where the blast hits the surface there is a black stain as if the primer is heating & melting, then it breaks free. Takes absolutely ages to do a wheel.
So, is there a solvent I could soften it with without spoiling the ally surface for the new coating?
