alloy wheel damage repair

i have a set of cobra supaslots for my datsun that have been damaged from using the wrong wheel nuts.
they have a clamp mark on the face of them that i want to remove.
i looked into having the faces turned down but i actually like the patina of the wheels as they are right now.
the diamond turned wheels look far too bling and you can see machine marks that i dont and and dont have on these wheels at the moment.
i was thinking a huge countersink would probably be enough to remove the marks but i haven't found a countersink big enough yet and then theres holding the wheel down while dtilling it.
im assuming a huge 1 1/2 inch countersink in a cordless drill probably isn't a good idea?

if anyone has a better idea i would appreciate the input.
if worse comes to worst ide rather leave them alone.

Don't they use a sleeved nut with a flat washer which should cover the damaged area ?

Wolfrace use a similar nut & washer arrangement. Does the Datsun use nuts or bolts?

You could try a stepped drill

it does use nuts but the bottom of the lug hole in these wheels have a tapered steel seat so unfortunately the nuts above will be the incorrect type for this aftermarket wheel but you are right the original wheels would have utilized a washer and shank to hold the wheel on.
i have the correct wheel nuts for the wheels now but leaves the damage exposed.
because i also need to space the wheels a little to get a centre cap in properly i want to fit some 3mm spacers and have some 5mm longer studs to fit so plenty of work to do atm so while the wheels are off it would be great to be able to fix this problem.

Did mine with a hand drill as kept central by the hole. They do 90deg ones to 60mm

a d-bit has a d shaped profile when viewed along the axial profile.

I wouldn't go near them with a battery drill or anything else hand held, its too easy to dig into aluminium and make a real mess. A piller drill with a depth stop or a milling machine will do a nice job without any nasty surprises.

this is my next problem its not going to be an easy thing to bolt down without using the bolt holes that need drilling. i will have to look into it more before doing anything and im leaning more towards giving the job to someone else rather than mess it up my self.
will just have to live with it for now.
