sorry to sound a bit thick daft , as i assumed alloy is alloy , reason i ask is that im after some alloy tig filler rods ,and due to not knowing which i need , can anyone advise which ones i possibly need, because a ebay seller sent this message , but im a bit unsure which buggars i need,,
ALUMINIUM ALLOY then you must have an AC TIG Welder. I can send a mixed pack of 4043 & 5356 1.6mm & 2.4 mm.
If you mean STEEL ALLOYS for use with a DC TIG Welder I can send a mixed pack of types A15 & A18 for mild and low alloy steel.A18 is for mild steel fabrication and A15 is for mild steel & low alloy steel including pipe welding - it's also used for repairs to steel that has corrosion in it.
If you want a pack of each buy two packs and I will send enough to get you going.
Some people use special lightweight strong steel alloy tubing called 4130 Cromo for bike frames and roll cages. If you are using this then you will need Sifsteel No 32 aswell.
ps i have my china ac/dc tig ,which ive had a few goes with it , which i think i may post a few pictures up , once my tig welds inprove
