anyone had any luck with these cheaper torches? Looking at this but wondering how I get from the 3/8 male gas outlet on my machine to the quick connect on this torch.

I am satisfied with their quality. Connection is not a problem. Plus, there are all kinds of adapters.

Guess my issue is that I dont know what the quick connect is so can't search for a quick connect female to 3/8 female adapter.

yep, the soft gas hose usually has a couple of turns of wire to hold it on . 0.6 mig wire works fine

I bought one about a year ago and have been very pleased with it, the gas on my Rtech has a flex pushed over a barbed spigot with a locking nut over it, a bit like a compression fitting so I cut off the brass nipple that came with it. This one looks identical but mine cost double that price and the one I later bought for my son was even dearer.
