Idly whiling pain in my left hand away I decided to fill my head with shopping for a special drill switch..
An email arrived telling of the sale ,, plenty of things at knock down prices from a week ago . So if you have time & money it could be worth it for you.

I got the 17th too, which meant I held off buying a air over hydraulic ram I wanted to redo my scrappy old engine crane, instead waited and got the last one on special once the offer started for a really decent price.
I have a air over hydraulic ram on the little engine crane mounted on my pickup and I like it a lot, I've often thought it'd be good to have one on the engine hoist too for fine one handed control without having to go round the back to pump it when I'm working on my own.
Apart from that, the offers were underwhelming...

They usually are. I've never noted much difference between sale & normal prices. It's merely the coupons/vouchers which are worthwhile.

I never like those tricks - likely a returned item or several previously rejected under-spec examples, is my suspicion of things like that. Please give us an update to let us know if it is actually a full-spec device, repaired or a previously rejected item.

Turned up the other day from a euro depot so no charges, air over hydraulic ram but can manually operate it wtih a pump lever too as expected, well packed in a box with reinforcement by thin slices of ply and foam and a pump handle and all brand new and painted what looks like kubota orange.
I've just got to find time to fit it the engine hoist now as I want to put some mountings and braces to make mr sketchy the engine hoist (kids named it...) less sketchy.

In said sale, son ordered some astra H wing mirror covers as his were silliconed on when we looked and odd colours. He bought colour matched ones so he didnt have to wait for me to paint them or buy a litre of 2k, and they went missing past their due date in siberia or something. So he got a full refund, they were only 15 quid though.

Today they just turned up out the blue, so I've just sent this picture to him via mms, with the caption "colour matched paint job worth every penny you paid for them in the end". The photo doesnt do the true horror of it justice. So note to self, dont bother with pre-painted parts from China
Maybe I can save it with some 1500 grit and compounding after. Worth it for free though.

Seen worse orange peel roll out of the factory on todays stuff, in all honesty.

Yeah in the photo it doesnt look so bad (which is why I said it doesnt do its horror justice) and maybe you cant see the scags and scratches but in real life it looks like its been painted in hammerite. Its really really bad.
They'll be ok when I flat them back and repaint though. For free they're worth the money.
