Bloody hell!
I'm in the market for a genny. And oddly enough I've just been given a BOC Transarc set, so some rods would be handy to try blowing holes in things with it.
Thursday 20th I am getting married at 2.30pm, Aldi opens at 9am. That's do able.... As long as I don't get busted by SWMBO2B

Save yourself a fortune guys ALDI sell an arc welder they claim you can use for reapir exhausts and body work, so why buy a mig welder when you can spend £36.99 on an arc welder that does body work, and remember its fan cooled for prelonged welding periods. And of course its only 16.5KG which means it has a quality aluminium transformer, with an OCV of 48volts means its 2 volts short of being of any use, except perhaps for a door stop.
I guess you use it for body work repairs by taking off the outer case, and using tin snips to cut it up so you can mig weld the patches made from the outer case in place.
Having had a real good laugh, I guess it would be ok for a one off job, making a trailer or something similar. 160amps will do a 4mm rod, but you wont get more than 2 maybe 3 4mm rods down before it overheats

Well I'm gonna have the genny and a pack of rods, I've got the BOC arc set which weighs an absolute ton, never used it yet.

Highway star see the pic of the underwear above well if you buy there rods @ 10, 3.2mm rods for 4 quid, then they are pull those down for you in a standard box of 3.2mm rods there are 185 in a box, so that makes the Aldi box about 70 quid a short, for that money you can get a box of vodex or zordian universal, or esab filarc or a box of lastek 005's and still have enough change left to get drunk down the pub
I might be tempted to get a pair of these welders pants. Protect the BoIIock5 from spatter like.

I hope you're not expecting that Jenny to drive a welder you will be lucky If it drives the radio and a light it certainly won't boil the kettle while you're figuring out why the welder won't work
