aldi has thier compressor and airtools in this sunday , usualy sell out fast so nip along if you want one

now why did you have to go and say a thing like that? I looked at the website and thought nah not interested. Now I find myself going back and forth thinking hmmm (for other bits, not the compressor). Im sure a few more Aldi fans will be along shortly

I bought the comp and 'most' of the tools about 18 months ago.

The comp has served me well, noisy but works and the tools are actually very good, will be even better when I upgrade to a bigger comp.

yeah i own that compressor too , its fine for smaller jobs dont expect to spray a transit with it or shot blast a chassis

Well it bypasses the restrictive regulator, just remember you have full tank pressure at the outlet, some tools will need a decent regulator fitted downstream.

The other half uses an Aldi comp, they've gone up a bit though, sure we paid £80 for hers.
Got the air shears too, they had one reduced to £12, bargain...

i got it , hardly suitable for the aldi compressor , will clean about a penny size per charge on the comp

tbh if you have any amount of blasting its best to pay someone else to do it as the media isnt cheap and it makes a stupid amount of mess

Bought one a few years back when they first appeared, was £70 then. Used as a reserve for odd jobs. Did a fairly big job using it with an air nailer, it was ideal for that. I didn't unpack it for about 6 months after buying it, when I did I found the pressure switch cover was broken ! Store didn't have any then of course so I called the warranty number but it was too much hassle to get a replacement so I just cable tied it on !! One day I might replace the whole switch !

I used the blaster a bit, you can cut down the mess by getting some foam to make a proper seal between the blaster cup and the thing you're blasting. It's designed to recirculate the media, but the hard plastic doesn't seal well.

From memory, I think it was a 1/2" to 1/4" BSP adapater. I think I ended up using a 1/2" to 3/8" and then a 3/8" to 1/4" as that was all B&Q had on the shelf (gas fittings).
