Albrecht Chuck Spares

I've acquired, quite by accident, an albrecht chuck. Beautiful thing smooth as you like and weighs a lot more than a crappy Jacobs.

only problem. It's got no jaws and no clamping ring! Someone has obviousLy had a go at it before.

So I've watched a few videos on getting them apart. Seems simple enough.

Ive found rotagrip supply the jaws but can't find anyone selling the clamping ring.

any one worked on these or replaced bits?

What do you mean by clamping ring? I got some a few years ago and took them apart to clean, I think there's pictures in the refurb thread for my Pollard drill.

I would guess the clamping ring refers to the collar that clamps around the arbour.
My gut feeling is that the price of the replacement parts is probably going to be quite a lot more than you could buy a second hand one for from ebay.

Yeah unfortunately it's likely the cost of spares, particularly from rotagrip, will far exceed the cost of a good used item....it's quite easy to get them fairly cheap.

I have a few Albrecht, all £60 or less, one was free, I also just picked up a pair of nearly new Rohm Supra 16mm chucks for £40.

IIRC a set of new jaws was about ninety quid so I didn't even bother looking for a new screw which was damaged on the chuck I had.
