My wife has indicated she would like a medical Bracelet in case she is I'll. When I pointed out if she goes out someone (usually me) is with her.

So the Bracelet is not going to solve the issue she feels on its own
I started looking into alerts/Medicare call it what you will and realised it's expensive and not particularly suitable.

Anyway that led to a Google search and I found a telephone dialer that will dial 3 numbers in order until it gets a response. That is 80 quid.
Whilst looking I have seen lots and lots of alarms and wondered if I could kill two birds with one stone ......if they make an Alarm system that has a personal phone dialer included.
Although I think I would prefer a panic alarm that used WiFi and phone app to monitor and a separate camera based alarm system if such a thing exists..

Anyone got or researched such things.

My wife had a stroke 20 years ago and the use of her right hand has never returned sadly.
It's also a lot more complicated to use and carrying one constantly when you find it hard to move is not easy mate.

A system with a waterproof button would be a bonus as she Could wear a lanyard constantly.

No the bracelets she has seen are just the ones with a fold out written description of ailments. But as I have explained to her not really helpful to be honest.

Have a look at Visonic products, used to fit their wireless alarms years ago and they were just getting into all the care side of things. They were good systems.

Well.........this was what I tried to get out of her. Bearing in mind she finds it hard to communicate verbally, even with me, I was unsure what she wanted a bracelet for. She can't go out on her own and I am almost always with her if she goes out ,except for 2 hours her Dad takes her to his house daily for food (if you can call it that).

I do go out for short periods daily to shop/collect grandson/errands etc but usually less than two hours. And 3 or 4 times a year I go out for a fishing match and she just watches TV.

So I am not really sure a Bracelet with medical info inside is any use.
A push button panic tag round her neck that sends SMS/ calls mobiles in order might give us all peace of mind.

When my mother was in a similar position 20 odd years ago, we contacted the council & they provided a system involving a lanyard that talked to a base station on the phone line. If she pressed the button, it would call a central office/call centre & they would then contact the numbers held. there was a priority on the list, us first, then neighbours, that sort of thing until they got someone to help. The call centre could also talk to the pendant thing & ask what the problem was. Might be worth seeing if they are available in your area.

The council probably have the Medi-alert pendant and bracelet systems but they only work near the house base station. You need a couple of neighbors or local relatives to be on the call list. I'm down for the 93yo guy next door so he can stay at home and keep his independence. I've been buzzed twice but they have just been knocks to the bracelet in the garden.

My Huawei Android phone has this if you press the off/on button 5 times in succession. You enable it in settings security and privacy and it sends a SOS to an elected contact with yourcurrent location.

Another option something like Samsung galaxy smartwatch paired to a mobile phone.
Mine has a panic feature where if you press one of the buttons on the side three times it will contact a nominated phone number and give GPS info for an hour.

Every one can add emergency contacts to 90% of phones any one can access these with out the pass word

I guess I forgot to mention that my wife has loss of mobility all down the right side. So a watch is sadly not an option nor is a phone in many circumstances especially as she has dysphagia that gets worse when she panics..

It really is a pendant that is the overall solution.
Perhaps I am being my usually "over engineering/future looking" self. Lol

Looking to see if an all singing all dancing alarm system is cost effective.
