Weird....

Just been looking up how much it costs to send a small parcel to Canada....

Around 200g, £3.50..... But if its a letter, at the same weight, its £5.92....


Am i reading that right?

Its something to do with the contents being paperwork, I had the same with some documents, advised me to put them in a small box next time and say it was something other than documents...a crazy system

How very odd.

I wondered if it was something to do with parcels being easier to handle. Who knows!

Its certainly not the shape, I was sending photographs on a regular basis and they always asked if the envelope contained documents or a letter, it got really weird because when I said it was photo's they asked if a letter was also included, if it had been it was the dearer charge.

This happened at two different post offices.
