Do they flush the old gas out? Been wondering about it but not sure if my aircon is warmer or its just my imagination. Dads old range rover never got regassed and was perfect, yet modern (4yr old) cars need doing?

not clued up on the terminations but yes i think its drained then refilled with a pre determined amount , he said they took 250 out of ours and put 650 back in , car is an 04 plate and never been touched , the a/c worked but was slow to cool on a hot day , its very cold now

Had a re-gas done today on my S class Merc at an independent Merc specialist and it cost me £39 including VAT which i thought was great value..Ice cold again

Mercs are cheap. The servicing is not so cheap... Nor the fuel.

S class mercs aren't cheap...sort of the modern equiv of a grosser, double glazed windows etc...

Mine was dirt dirt cheap because it was left idle for months (flat tyres ect)..i brought it back to life and its now a loved car again...I bought it of Simon Westons (falklands war) mother-in-law as it was Simons old car he had left at her house

Just pulling yer leg mate, same with my 9-3, had some issues that the seller didn't disclose, but sorted now



If the air con isn't working on his, have a look at the condenser, they rot like no tomorrow (alu corrosion) - mine looked ok at first but closer inspection with a magnifying glass revealed a few areas clearly stained with pag oil
I think I still have links for decent priced condensers and dryers.
My old mans was regassed a while back but then wouldn't engage, so either KF didn't put enough in or the pressure sensor has failed (bridged out the relay and no difference) new pressure sensor ordered, maybe get it swapped this weekend and the car in for its regas
