I’ve done a bit of amateur study into the air source, and ground source pump heating over the last couple of years, purely out of curiosity. Although the systems seem to have improved in that time, I can not see how the air source heat pump, is a workable system. At least if your winter external temperatures fall below a certain figure.
If you live in a city, then yes, they should work, but if you have winters of minus whatever (and not a big whatever), the heating cannot efficiently work. I truly cannot see the point of air source heat pump heating that does not heat because it’s too cold outside.
It appears that ground source pump heating is way more efficient, so I’ve read, and in tandem with solar panels, allegedly does what is expected of it. One company states that their system will work well even with standard radiators. Of course, you pay even more……

we got air heat soure in the new build at work 2 large units out side feeding the hot water tanks and one large tank for the rads
the heat out of the rads is not what you get out of a boiler its about 50/55 but the insulation in the walls is 6 inches thick so constant heat the same as underfloor heating makes it quite warm inside the rooms
at the moment add to that the solor panels and batterys we have not realy noticed and change in electricty use since an extra 15 rental rooms
so it does work but as said insulation is the key
if im working in the room im in a tshirt with windows open
