Air rifle breach seal

Ok my one was old leather I think may have been cork. I forget now. My friend pulled it out last year and replaced it but with 2 o rings stacked ontop of each other. I don't think this is ideal. Any way I just saw these in the link below is it a worth while investment. Or can I make my own.

I think he has a Relum in which case it is easy to replace using a piece of thin leather. Or just buy one of the replacement rubber/plastic/ptfe offerings. As kids when we had no money we just used a bit of bootlace.
