Air planishing hammer design and dollies

Has anyone built their own planishing hammer and dollies? I’ve seen the cheap ones for sale on eBay etc but always fancied making my own

We've been looking into the same, using a cheap (Draper) air hammer we have. At full whack it's producing bout 3000 beats per minute, which is over double the dedicated planishing hammers I've found info on. And trying to get it to go slower is tricky - variable speed, but very hard to control.
Anyone tried a jig saw? We've got three of those, and easy speed controls.

Unfortunately foundry decided to considerably raise prices without notice . Just the base was over a grand so it’s a total flop

The hammer is easy I made one in a morning from scratch, I took an exploded view of one to get the measurements. I thought I had it on the phone but apparently not I’ll post a pic when I get home.

This one has a 1-1/2 diameter and is quite simple however it doesn’t have a way to lock the end cap on it the anvil is held in place by a O ring that pushes into a recess.
