Air feed grinding mask?

I do car welding and fabrication when I'm grinding and cleaning the dust gets to me and the normal mouth masks are a pain and steam up my glasses I use a 3m 9100xx I was look at there air feed grinding what set up are you all using

I use a universal grinding air fed. Only because it was cheap (£35-ish) and its the same bayonet as the ESAB PAPR I have. In the days of 3D printers I suppose it can have an connection you like but it is easier if you can just swap one to the other.

I have got a Scott vision 3 full face thing if you want one, can do you an adaptor to use your 3m belt pack/hose with it.

You might find it slightly restrictive as it seals completely around your face but pretty much 0% dust gets in.

Optrel clearmaxx is another good one, not as claustrophobic as the scott and not a lot of dust gets in those either but they seem expensive for what they are.

The Scott's are great for crawling around under cars as once they are on they dont move. The hose inlet is also towards the front so you can lie on your back without a hose getting in the way.
The lenses on the scott are a lot tougher than anything else but then the tear-offs are expensive and the replacement lenses are really expensive..

If you find anything else I think I have adaptors for 3m to optrel/scott/esab if you need one

I have used a Trend Airshield Pro & whilst its nice to have fresh air blowing across your face I wouldn't like to wear it all day as the battery, filters etc are on top of your head & it makes it feel top heavy & awkward.
If you were working under a car I think it would be difficult to stop it falling off your head!
The filters are small & in theory can't be cleaned.
The elasticated face seal is very poor though it would probably suit bearded users better than a rubber seal.
