Air-fed mask - yet another question

Hi, first post here.

I spray paint occasionally (hobby) - some 2k.
After reading some of the stories about 2k on this forum, I bought a Iwata air-fed kit - it comes with a carbon filter and hose.

As for 3 stage filter sets, there's the devilbiss (very expensive), the Deltalyo/Kestrel and I've also found (cheaper) "Metalwork" and "Transpower" (on Ebay) branded sets. Does anyone have experience with the cheaper options?

I'll be using the mask with one compressor and a separate compressor to run the spray gun. Where do I put the 3 stage filter, closer to the compressor or the mask?
Can I run a 15m hose between the 3 stage and mask?
Can I use a standard hose between the 3 stage and mask (provided that it's new, and is never used with other compressed air tools/guns)?

Is this setup acceptable: 3 stage filter close to the compressor, followed by a new 15m hose to the face mask's carbon filter, and then run the supplied hose to the mask.

Anything else I should add either before the 3 stage filter set or between it and the mask's carbon filter?

The 3 stage filter sets I referred to include pre-filter, coalescent and carbon filters.

Are they breathing air quality filter to go with your compressor to feed an air fed mask?
You would normally have the filters close to the point of working supplying high pressure, then a pre set regulator and carbon filter worn as a belt pack.
You compressor must be sited so it will take fresh air form outside, well away from any spraying or extraction outlet.

Normal face mask filters of any make are not adequate for 2 pack, must be air fed.

Yes, I was talking about an air-fed mask, not a normal face mask with filter.

So the filtration system needs to be closer to the point of working rather than closer to the compressor. Is there a rule of thumb for a maximum hose length between the filters and mask?

And about the 3 stage sets, has anyone here ever used "Metalwork" and/or "Transpower" sets?

I have no knowledge of the filters you mention, your filters need to comply to BS EN 12021.

I use Metalwork filters, seem well made. I think the DeVilbiss FL filters are made by Metalwork
