Looks like a good job Parm, but you are still running far too much pressure. The gun info should tell you what it is expecting, but it is highly unlikely to be more than 28Lbs or 2 Bar in funny money. Reduce your variables by sticking to the correct pressure for your next experiments.

The instructions said between 2.5 and 3 bar, that’s roughly between 35 to 45 psi, so I had it at 40

im gonna get some Paint in that I’m likely to use a fair bit, mostly for finishing wood projects and have a play

also I think the paint could have been thinned some more

Keeping the gun at 90deg good, release trigger at the end of each run good, try lower preasure & thinner paint good result though. Will buy the painter a couple tonight

Those little touch up guns needed a lot of air volume and pressure you will do better with the HVLP gravity gun, less paint mist too and your compressor will have an easier time.
Chest of drawers looks good BTW.

That little touch up gun is resigned to the back of the shelf

the gravity gun with 2mm nozzle is the best. Just need to practice more to get the hang of it

On thick paint, wide open, literally as open as it can go! And use the biggest nozzle.

For painting steelwork that will work as it will put on a thick coat of paint. But for painting cars or furniture you are not plastering it on, just adding several thin layers of paint. Also, by having the volume wound fully open there's a good chance of applying too much paint if your travel speed is too slow, especially for a beginner!
