aerograph srares ?

Anyone know where to get old Aerograph spray gun spares ?


I have one but the metal paint container's lid is stuck fast, i tried solvent, and heat, and brute force, but it won't give.

It's a Devilbiss JGA isn't it ? Buy a syphon cup assembly there are lots of compatible ones about.

i saw an old aerograph compressor today from wwII period here it is which makes your spray gun very old

Yep, left it for ages,full upside down and sitting in thinners but it wouldn't have it.

I could rip the metal lid off if i new where to get a spare. I think it's so old it's tinned copper.

the aerograph compressor in the picture is from world war 2 so your gun must be old, any chance of a picture it may be the same as another brand and someone may have the info you need

That's just mean, posting a photo like that. That's tempting people to keep on the lookout for another bit of kit they don't really need. Tidy looking bit of kit. Is it one they're doing up or flogging?

no they arnt doing it up its just on display its at eden camp there is all sorts there that people on here would soon take home, rolls royce spitfire engine amongst others.

If it's **** or bust time,I'd try soaking it in Hammerite thinners,I've used it to clean old paint brushes,shifts all sorts of stuff.

I know this is a bit late but someone has just given me aerograph spraygun. The cap on the paint container is difficult to remove although it is clean and it seems easy to cross thread. It does look like it is made of copper and the thread on the cup is soldered on so should come off with a blowlamp though you are in danger of softening the copper. You might have more luck trying brake fluiid to soften the paint?
