AEG cordless drills.

Just bought an 18V 1.5ah li-ion from B&Q for £70'ish as theres a 20% offer on atm. Seems decent quality, and just wondering if anyone has experience of them over time and is it worth grabbing another one?

Not for a commercial environment as such but would use it more than general DIY(why i didnt go for the 3ah).

I have had an AEG cordless drill for a couple of years & its been pretty good.
Its the batteries that seem to fail first on all makes.

I have the 3ah version. Its brill.

I do work it very hard some days. I have never managed to use a battery before the next one is charged, not even close even when driving screws in constantly. In fact for most normal jobs it lasts me for days.

I have the 18V with the standard Ni-Cad batteries and I cant fault it. had it almost 2 years and its been worked fairly hard drilling steel, wood and masonry on a fairly constant basis.

It is a nice drill to hold and not too heavy so ideal for continual use.
