Well now the boot is on the other foot. This might be a big ask but I know a couple of guys here are into cars.
As some know I own a firm specialising in vehicle electrical faults.
Anyway, had a MK3 Toyota MR2 come in last week with a total loss of drive (and sense) from the sequential manual transmission.
Sadly non of my present gear will talk to the gbox ECU - as in I don't have the facility.
I was initially looking into what would get the job done for moderate (sub £500) investment and couldn't turn up much on ebay. That was last Tuesday, had to advise customer they need an indi toyota specialist with a Techstream subscription. Anyways car is still in my car park, have had more of a look on the bay and turned up two potential packages that claim Toyota coverage. One is in China so not a great start, but the other is in Germany, with a UK phone number which I will call tomorrow. In the meantime, can anyone else offer up suggestions of diag equipment that'll work?
Should add I don't want anything that times out, ie. KTS.
