Advice required for Newbie !

Hi

A complete newbie, trying to progress my first motorbike project, 1954 Zundapp Bella restoration/ modernisation with a Honda 250 twin carb engine.

I need to make a number of some small mods, welding new engine mounts etc on to the frame.

I have thought about taking an evening course to learn to Mig (something I have wanted to do for many years, and may do it regardless) However local college evening course is 20 weeks, and not one starting soon, and I wanted to progress project quicker than this.

Does anyone know any pro or hobby welder who is a biker or bike friendly and lives Southport or North West who would be willing to assist / take on small fiddly jobs from a novice and happy to share advice along the way, of course I am more than happy to pay going rate for time / materials etc.

I have tried a few local small fabrication workshops and (understandably) all got a bit arsey and said its not enough work for them.

If I was nearer Matt, I'd be happy to get involved with your project - sounds like a whole lot of 'fun'!

How is the final drive arranged on the Zundapp? I bet it's nothing like the Honda...
