advice regarding this fuse HOLDER not fuse

Hi Guys
Power pack to my mothers electric reclining chair has blown, disassembled the pack and come across the attached soldered 20 x 5mm fuse. I have found the rating of the fuse ok but i need to order the soldered caps ends that the fuse sits in. Any ideas as i cant seem to prise them off the fuse - Mark

Push on fuse caps. You use fresh ones each time you replace the fuse. Any component supplier should stock them.

Thanks guys for the 'heads up' but still struggling to track them down, I dont want to 'fob off' the searching to you guys but i have been on the net for 4 hours trying to trace these little monkies etc so if anyway fancies saving me even more eyestrain the fuse with the 'pigtails/caps' is a T0,50A 20mm x 5mm.

I wouldn't worry too much about the physical size as long as the rating is OK.

Very much Doubt you will find one an exact match. Just order up the fuse and use the caps off the one you have.

You'd melt the link or the solder holding it to the cap. You don't think we **** about using things like that for jollies, do you? Personally, I'd have suggested putting a proper fuse holder on the board if there was space available, (manufacturers tend to use those connectors so that they can cram the smallest board possible into something), but with it being a scooter, vibration possibly might cause it to work loose, so it's one of those rare cases where they are probably the best simple option.


p.s: Tin Can, if you have a problem getting the caps onto the fuse, ask your wife to do it. Those things generally seem to best me, but she can fit them within seconds. I use the excuse that it's because she has decent length nails.

It's a reclining chair in the first post, are we putting a motor and wheels on it as well. I've soldered to them before, I don't know what holds the wire in but if they are soldered inside they must use Derren Brown to do them
