Advice on extension cable run

Need to patch up a few holes etc on a van,which will be on the drive 40m away from my 16amp supply(workshop is out the back garden).
I dont have a 16amp extension long enough nor do i really want to buy an add on.
What i'd like to know will i get away running a 13amp ext lead(i have 50m of this) from a 32amp ring(again in the workshop) then slap on one of these

Then welder to be plugged into this.

Its all going to be low amps used on the welder as its thin stuff mainly tacking,i'm not really sure how to calculate voltage drop etc or what other problem i might get.
The welder is an old oxford mig 180-1 turbo which does state must have a 15amp(?) supply.
Your help and advice would be much appreciated, thank you .

The max you can draw is 13amp so the adaptor will not improve this. Most standard extension leads are largely undersized for the length so you would be best getting some 2.5 flex (not twin and earth) and making your own. With decent plug and socket with a RCD plug for extra protection

try a shorter 13A ext from the house if its closer?
just turn off any sensitive equipment thats plugged into the same ringmain
computer etc
if you are only using the welder on low amps im guessing it wont pull more than 13A

you are maybe over thinking this your welder states 15A but that will be when its used at full power its obviously not going to be pulling any where near that so stick a 3 pin 13A plug on it
any problems and the fuse in the ext lead will proberbly blow before the one in the welder so give it a check over before you start to use it make sure it hasnt blown in the past and some one has wrapped some tinfoil around the fuse and put it back in

Thinking about it now and from the suggestions i best do it right as MK says will have to make my own EXT,cos i know one day i'll need more power draw to do thicker stuff etc,was trying to cut costs,but i suppose it makes sense in the end.

Get some 2.5mm² blue arctic cable and 16A plug & socket

I use 4mm flex for my long extension but when pushed I have used two 2.5mm arctic wired together in parallel and that cured the volts drop.
the problem is current inrush on migs causing volts drop which throws everything in disarray I have a 12v transformer wired as an auto to add its secondary to the 240v this in theory gives 252v but because of the VD you are roughly back to 240 at the end of the extension I use this on various high draw tranny gear ie my big battery charger welder etc coz it just makes them work efficiently especially at dinner time.
