advice on buying a band saw for metal

Any tips. Advise or plane old favourite s

Which model would you recommend me.

Happy to buy new or second hand.

My only requirements are. Single phase.

I want it for cutting sheet metal. Box section etc etc just general stuff.

O and I am talking about a up right only bandsaw.

You do know that with a traditional upright bandsaw the maximum length you can cut is governed by the throat depth, so if you have a 12" bandsaw 12" is the longest bit of box you can cut.

Yeah its bummer I know. But I have a cut off saw as well.

I really just wanted it for sheet.

Have also been looking at air shears.

It might be an option for me.

But its a pain firing up the compressor just for one job. And I don't like to leave air in the tank over night. So I always drain it.

Angel grinder with cutting disc is a little on the messy side.
