Are MCBs readily available (on eBay) suitable for any MCB fuse box?

Probably, but din rail mount mcb's are two a penny, also that CU hasn't got any spare slots, so why buy another breaker?

Have you not got a Screwfix or a merchants close by? You can pick up Wylex or similar mcbs for about a fiver each

Intend to use it for supply to mig and arc welders, (only one in use at a time). Reading from another post, I am better to have a type 'C' breaker than the type 'B' that's in the fuse box. Can't find a box available with type 'C' breakers.

I have used the old type wired fuses and box before but never interfered with MCBs. Cant find one of these older type for sale.

Main switched and 2 or preferably 3 outlets.

Those come in metal or plastic and are very good quality and value for money CUs. They also easily allow for rcbos

I did a small 4 way with main switch and rcd for a woman a few weeks ago, box cost something like 18 quid in screwfix, was cheaper online but needed it quick.

The problem is you don't know how many times they've been tripped or had fault current passed through, for the price it's safer to fit new mcbs etc.

Not my house but I believe it is RCD protected, just going to be my shed.
Do I need to change something in the house supply?
I was hoping to join to outlet for shower or cooker.

I would suggest you contact a local electrician for advice, even if you do the donkey work running cables etc. and get him to connect/test the installation.
