bought this off ebay a weeks ago and finally got round to stripping all the ugly paint off.
and found this,the welds er what weld??
shot blasted the whole lot and re-welded.
a copy of shad 3p frame which you cannot buy over here.
solid as a rock now. just shows you can't trust any body this days to be honest....

TheHonda ADV 350 adventure scooter has off-road ability, with highsuspension travel. Consequently any fully loaded side panniers needto be very firmly mounted on a strong rack with high suspensionclearance.
Thereare other generic side pannier racks available for this bike but theyare of relatively lightweight construction with limited suspensionclearance, their flimsy construction can also limit the weight thatcan be carried in the side panniers on rough roads.
Alsothese lightweight racks are usually positioned so far forward on thebike that it is impossible to have a pinion passenger.
Alsothese generic racks are not pannier brand specific meaning that tofit your favourite panniers you have to first start working out somesort of attachment method to hold the side cases in place on therack!
Thisadvertised, bespoke Shad 3P style side pannier rack was designed toavoid all the above problems. Using strong 5mm steel plate plus 20mmdiameter x 2mm steel tube. The rear suspension travel on these bikesis a huge 160mm but this rack has build strength that allows fullyloaded panniers to be carried over rough ground while still providingthe clearances that the bike's high suspension travel demands.
Unlikethe generic lightweight racks this rack fits towards the back of thebike which means that carrying a pillion passenger is no problem.This can be seen in the picture of the rack fitted with SH23panniers.
Therack will accept Shad cases that fit the Shad 3P system. Theseinclude SH23, SH35 and SH36, there are probably others as well.
Therack incorporates mounting flanges for a top box plate. Note that topplates bolt hole positions vary between different top box makers sofour fresh bolt holes may be neededto be drilled to suit your chosen top box mounting plate.
Therack is specific to the fitting of Shad side panniers that use theShad 3P system. The panniers are NOT included. The pannier latchingmechanism is bespoke steel design and the plastic latch blocks thatcome with Shad panniers are not required. However if preferred theycould be fitted, with a small modification, to the mounting tube butthere is not really any point in doing that, they will not be asstrong!
Therack has previously been very successfully used but the bike is nowfor sale and the rack is no longer needed and available should anyonehave a use for it. The rack shows minimal signs of use, one or twovery small paint wear marks.
