Adjustable Props

From time to time I have needed the assistance of adjustable props, But generally struggled wishing I had an extra pair of hands to assist

Has anyone got any recommendations?

I don't want to spend the earth as they won't be used often, But when I do need them I want them to actually work

I'm not after the heavy acro props either

Good for about 100kg.

so i was bang on. x2

used em to unbend 2x9s in ceilings when fitting noggins they hold more than the specs state. its **** covering

I have several of those from Lidl or Aldi. They have the same load rating and were a lot cheaper. But of course you buy them when they appear in the Magical Middle Aisle of Mystery, not when you need them!

One of them might be a bit bent from when it was used to jack up a sagging shed roof in order to fit the steel reinforcing trusses......

How do you load such a support at 45°? Surely it would just slip sideways?

The 'feet' are on pivots and have ridged rubber shoes. I had them at an angle when persuading some coving it really did want to fit where I told it go.

I work alone most of the time, even more recently 'cos my partner is unwell ...I use the two lengths of 2x1 or 3x2 and a couple of clamps system , it works for me ...I have been known to employ the Heavy Duty or Delux version of two lengths of 50X 50 box section ....

Also handy for plasterboard in lofts extensions ie the ceiling prop the top while you tack the bottom
