Adding an ensuite shower room

Evening all. Hoping someone could aid me with the above. Basically I've bought a 2 bed flat and the master bed is huge with a storage cupboard in the corner. I'm contemplating turning this in to the shower room and pinch a bit off the bedroom. Only thing I'm not sure about is getting the services there from the bathroom. See floor plan below
Any input would be ideal. Once I have keys I'll begin talking to some local plumbers as well to get an idea of costs

Do you know as this is a flat does it have concrete floors, or is it a converted house that may have floorboards?

Sorry chaps should have said. It's first floor and I believe it has wooden floorboards

Without seeing it in person would think the joists would run from bedroom to bathroom in which case your life just got easier.

well if it has wooden floors not a problem getting hot and cold pipes in .the drainage is another thing if you cant get the waste pipes underneath to the soil stack you will have to fit a saniflo

Except don’t fit a saniflo, ever

There’s always a way to squeeze a waste in, only time for a saniflo is when you need to pump up, at that point I’m not interested

some people don't have a choice. if u cant get the waste across the room and the joists are the wrong way you cant get the fall on the pipe so if you realy want one u have no choice

Without seeing it in person would think the joists would run from bedroom to bathroom in which case your life just got easier.

If that is the case then that's a result. It's something il have to check out. I'll be redoing the flooring anyway but would want to get this done first.

I'm in this situation in my house and have to fit a pump to get the shower waste up to the level of the soil pipe. I didn't buy a Saniflow as I've seen them at work and they are s##$e! I've got a Grundfos one instead! Hopefully once the extension is done I can fit a gravity drain.

Until you’ve seen one back up and explode they seem like a good idea, but I don’t fit them, service them or go near them. I’d rather not have the en suite than have one in my house

Shower is fine, grundfos do the conlift for showers and baths

Just not a macerator, no matter what name is on it

Yeah will make sure all rules and regs are followed so I don't get told off!

Cheers bud. I have no reason to believe it is. Tenant that is selling has been there for 15yrs and bought it off council. She said things like changing kitchen etc you don't need to ask permission and the like.
Got alot of researching to do regardless

Chippie/builder/bed bath and kitchen fitter.
Need any advice or decent suppliers with good discount gis a shout.

Mid beds planning are good to deal with. No experience with north beds as yet.

Is it freehold or leasehold, if leasehold possibly will need to let them know of the changes
