ACF-50 vs Dynax S50 Chassis legs.

The age old question.

I have a Sealey pressure pot, a big tub of ACF-50 and a big tub of Dynax S50.

I can see the S50 being a lot more awkward to work with (what would be good to thin it down with).

The ACF-50 would be for easier to apply but how long would it last.

This is for Chassis leg internals mainly.

I might have to weld treated bits up in the future so I suppose ACF-50 would win there being less flammable?.

Can't make my mind up..

there are a few acf 50 fanbois on here, i'm not one of them. acf 50 is a excellent SHORT TERM corrosion protection... which is what its designed for. spray it on you bike beginning of the winter before the salters are out and wash the bike in the spring kind of short term. i wouldn't use it as a replacement for cavity wax.

i generally pull all the sill plugs out, flood it with your favourite rust converter, then use a good cavity wax once its all dried out.

Never had too much hassle with welding up repairs on sills previously treated with cavity wax. Yes it ignite, yes it blows out with a blast of compressed air.

Never used the Dynax stuff (I'm a noxudol 700 fan) - but Bilt Hamber website suggests white spirit as a thinner.

I have sat my pressure pot and the tub of noxudol in the sun in the greenhouse on black cushions to warm up and stay warm before. As well as sitting them in a big pan of hot water, with a camping stove underneath.
